Music Morsels - Conor Oberst, The War on Drugs, The Shins

Conor Oberst is making the rounds these days along with current tourmates Dawes. Conor and Dawes recently stopped by NPR for a Tiny Desk Concert. Check it out below.

The War on Drugs has one of my favorite albums of this year with "Lost in the Dream" and they performed one of my favorite songs off of said favorite album at the Primavera Sound Festival in Spain. Watch the video below (via Pitchfork):

I've gone on and on about LA based band NO, who performed at this year's SXSW. The good folks at SXSW have kindly posted a couple of videos of NO's performances, which you can watch below:

"What's Your Name"

Santa Monica- based public radio station KCRW (whom you can thank for Morning Becomes Eclectic) broke ground this week for a new studio, and Ben Harper stopped by to perform at the ceremony, because, why the hell not?  Check out this video of Ben performing oldie-goodie "My Own Two Hands":

Zach Braff knows a thing or two about introducing the masses to music, as evidenced by his successful soundtrack to Garden State, and his follow up movie ("Wish I Was Here") seems to want to follow in the same footsteps. Garden State veterans The Shins will be included on the new soundtrack and have released the track for your listening enjoyment. Check it out:
